This Instructor Course is for you if want to teach.
You will be the facilitator for Basic Life Support, Heart Saver CPR and First Aid courses. Upon successful completion of the course and the succeeding student teaching requirements, the Instructor Candidate will obtain an American Heart Association instructor card that correlates to their current status (Either BLS Healthcare Provider or BLS Heart Saver). Instructor Candidates will be able to teach a CPR course using the video and lesson maps that are part of the appropriate CPR course instructor materials. Instructor candidates will also be able to use the new testing materials to conduct skills testing.
Prerequisites for this class
- current First Aid, Heart Saver Automatic External Defibrillator, Healthcare Provider card
- complete Core Instructor Course
- renewals require current BLS Instructor card and Core Instructor Course completed
